New Moon in Scorpio opposite Uranus

This month’s new lunar cycle occurs in Scorpio on 13th November. The ruler of the New Moon will be Mars, strongly placed in its own domicile of Scorpio, conjunct to the Sun and Moon, and opposite Uranus, setting the tone for the month ahead.
A planet in its own sign is well resourced and positioned to carry out its own agenda. It suggests a lunar new cycle supported with access to whatever resources are required to get things done. And Mars certainly wants to get things done this month! This is the planet of action. It may feel like a time of getting ready to to embark on new projects or set in motion new bold plans and ideas with an underlying restlessness. The fact that Mars is also in the process of beginning a new cycle in its relationship to the Sun adds to the energy of setting new intentions for the future, especially with regard to actions, direction, focus, and the protection or defense of what’s important to you.
There will probably be a sense of being able to rustle up what you need to help you with your goals or ideas moving forward. Being strategic about how and what you plan to do in the month ahead is likely to bring benefits.
You may feel an impetus to really get to the heart of whatever you are doing and planning, rather than operating at surface level. It will be a good time to be probing and double down on research or investigation of any sort, especially regarding the topics of the house where the New Moon falls in your natal chart, where some real insights might be possible.
Throughout the month Mars is hidden by the Sun, by being either combust or cazimi. Being in domicile, the combustion effect is mitigated, but there could still be a theme of the ‘unseen’ coming through, associated with this state. The new moon’s Scorpio energy adds to that, so this month you may find yourself needing to look into what’s hidden and uncover it, or themes of operating behind the scenes or in the shadow, yet still active. Bringing what’s been deeply buried (or even taboo) to the surface can be an intense and uncomfortable process, but the upshot can be healing or cathartic. This could include uncovering hiddent talents or skills you have. Mars in Scorpio encourages having the courage and boldness to do that.
Finding inspiration and having innovative ideas will be supported by the Uranus influence coming through its opposition to Mars, spurring on that bravery to be a bold, authentic individual, autonomous, breaking out out of old patterns, and setting one’s sights on what’s ahead.
If there’s something you’ve been wanting to do but have felt held back by self doubt or lack of insight, you may find this New Moon cycle presents opportunities to break through that. Freedom, independence and individuality are key themes this month, so don’t be afraid of seeking new experiences, opportunities and approaches, maybe even take a risk on something.
New undertakings or paths forward could be stimulated by releasing built up pressure constructively, pushing forward in a new, exciting and independent way. Uranus injects an infusion of energy to what you would like to accomplish this month or bring a sense of freedom after restriction, or letting go of what’s no longer serving you well, so that new productive avenues can be explored.
Both Mars and Uranus are in fixed signs, so progress or change might not happen overnight, but things may unfold in a more process oriented way.
But there’s a shadow side to this transit, of potential volatility, confrontation, impatience, aggression, or egotism. So part of this New Moon cycle will be about managing stress, intensity, or disputes and channelling the zealous energy in a productive way. There may be sudden shocks to established routines or patterns too, so be prepared to adapt to what’s changing.
